THE ROSTER
Michael Walker
Smooth Jazz - Blues - Guitarist, National Recording Artist
Blues roots, jazz vocabulary.
Michael Walker is a national recording artist and smooth jazz guitarist whose playing sits where blues tradition meets contemporary jazz. Born in Newport, Arkansas, he came to the instrument early, drawn in by B.B. King and the blues players he encountered on television and on stage.
That lineage is still audible. The phrasing is vocal rather than technical - the lines breathe like someone singing them, and the space between them is as deliberate as the notes. It is a player's catalog, built on tone and restraint rather than density.
His recorded work includes A Smoother You, My Journey, Daylight, Paradise and Roll Wit It, released through his own Mw Entertainment.
